Biography

Mr Parma Nand is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon based in Auckland with clinical appointments at Auckland City Hospital as well as private consults at the MercyAscot Hospital. He performs a range of adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, adult vascular surgery, adult cardiac and lung transplantations, and ventricular assist device implantation.

After completing his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of South Pacific/ Sydney University, Mr Nand completed fellowship training at the Freeman Hospital in England, Toronto General Hospital in Canada and Westmead Hospital in Sydney.

Mr Nand has contributed to a range of publications and research and is affiliated with a variety of society memberships.

Mr Nand volunteers his time and expertise leading a mobile cardiac surgery team as charity missions to Fiji and Samoa since 2006 and performing valve surgery and congenital procedures, and pacemaker implantations.
