Biography

Mr Nand Kishore Kejriwal is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the Waikato Hospital and the Southern Cross Hospital, both located in Hamiton, New Zealand.

Mr Kejriwal completed his masters in cardiothoracic surgery (M Ch) in India. He is a Fellow of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons and the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.

Nand obtained further international experience and training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, Westmead Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and Monash Medical Centre, in Australia. As well as Alder Hey Children Hospital (Liverpool, UK), Dunedin Hospital, and Waikato Hospital (New Zealand).

Mr Kejriwal has a special interest in minimally invasive procedures such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), Mitral Valve Repair, and Minimally Invasive Lung Surgery (VATS). He was part of the team that performed the first Transapial TAVI procedure in Australasia.

He has completed additional workshops to further his training in Germany, Austria, Paris, Thailand, Auckland, India, Belgium, Shanghai, and Bali. Mr Kejriwal has greatly contributed his knowledge to publications and presentations internationally and domestically.
