Biography
Dr Krys Milburn is an Interventional and Structural Heart Cardiologist treating patients across the South Island. He currently consults privately at St George’s Hospital and South Island Heart in Christchurch.
Dr Milburn specialises in all areas of interventional cardiology though has a special interest in structural heart interventions such as transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), complex percutaneous coronary interventions, and chronic total occlusions (CTO).
Krys completed his medical degree at the University of Otago Medical School, followed by further cardiology training at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney and an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Christchurch Hospital. He was awarded a New Zealand Heart Foundation grant and subsequently completed a Structural Heart Fellowship at the esteemed Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London.
